Paykan Won 2010 Asian Volleyball Champ

Beating Qatari Al-Arabi, Peykan Volleyball team clinched the 21st championship title of the Asian Men’s Volleyball Club Championship in Zhenjiang, China.

This is for the fifth successive years that Peykan wins Asian Men’s Volleyball Club Championship. IKCO, Iran giant car manufacturer, runs Iran Khodro sport club i.e Iran Khodro’s Cultural & Sportive Club to which Paykan volleyball team belongs.
Paykan had previously won the championships of Vietnam 2006, Bahrain 2007, Kazakhstan 2008 and UAE 2009.
According to Mahmood Shiei, Iran Khodro sport club CEO, Paykan is one of the strongest Asian teams that holds a prestigious standing amongst the Asian volleyball clubs and following the recent championship, Paykan intends to hire some young players to become even stronger than before.
Beside the first rank in the 21st Asian Men’s Volleyball Club Championship, Paykan as the Asian top team is well qualified to play in the 2010 Volleyball World Championship in Doha, Qatar from December 14 to 21.
