Mir Javad Soleimani, IKCO Deputy CEO in Products and Quality in this regard said, “Due to the large amount of investment done on Tondar 90 project, IKCO is capable of producing other products on X90 platform.”
He also pointed to the recent fruitful talks between IKCO and Renault and called the agreement on producing three new products of Renault brand in Iran as one of the primary results of these talks.
The experience of cooperating with global carmakers has enabled IKCO to observe strict standards of Renault Company. Renault inspectors evaluated IKCO as one of the most successful companies in observing their standards.
Based on the assessment conducted by Renault and in comparison with other sites’ products, IKCO Tondar 90 (Logan in other countries) was selected as the best quality car for the third time and received Renault Green Emblem, a position it is going to keep for the forth successive year.
Considering IKCO’s daily production capacity of 300 Tondar, the company aims to run up this car’s production to 45 thousand units by the end of this Iranian year i.e. March 21, 2011.
