Gholam-Reza Razzazi, Wagon Pars CEO in this regard said, “Fifteen years of successful presence in the Syrian market and its suitable situation as well as the company’s high quality products led it to establish this factory in Syria.
“This contract will equip Syria and its railway company with the know-how required for wagon production and maintenance,” he said.
“The plant is projected to annually produce 300 cargo wagons and will have 50 repair lines for passenger wagons,” Razzazi said and added, “once the factory comes on stream 640 direct job opportunities will be created.”
Wagon Pars CEO stated that so far more than 1000 units of passenger coaches and freight wagons have been exported to Syria.
Razzazi finally referred to the company’s technical capabilities in providing after-sale services and added that based on the contract, Wagon Pars is to renovate 99 Syrian passenger and dining wagons.
