In a ceremony in Sapco, Iran Khodro Company unveiled Peugeot 207i in the presence of the Iranian Minister of Mines and Industries and industrial officials on Saturday, February 20, 2010.

Iran’s plug-in version of national Soren unveiled at the presence of Iran’s President and at the place of Council of Ministers.

In a meeting with the Senegalese Minister of Agriculture and Fish Farming, Fatou Gaye SARR, Ali Akbar Mehrabian, Iran’s Minister of Industries and Mines said, “The second phase of IKCO plant in Sengeal - SENIRAN Auto - will soon end and the new paint and body shops will be inaugurated.”

Iran Khodro Industrial Group broke its previous production record of 600 thousand and six units on February 13.

Along with Iran’s government program for the rationalization of subsidies for energy, IKCO has put fresh efforts in to its agenda and envisaged 500 thousand sets of low consumption engines for the coming year.

IDRO’ (Industrial Development and Renovation Organization of Iran) subsidiaries produced 1,095,770 different passenger and commercial vehicles in the first ten months of the current Iranian calendar year (Mar 21, 2009 to Jan 21, 2010) i.e. ten percent more than the same period last year.

Eight thousand units of Samand cars will be produced in the Venezuelan production site and will hit this market in 2010.

IKCO has produced 541794 units of different passenger cars in a 10-month period, 16% more than the same period last year.

IKCO will unveil Peugeot 207i simultaneous with the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution victory.
